A friend of mine works at a furniture showroom in the City. Besides the furniture, the place is littered with the kinds of things that might help a piece of furniture look more inviting to a potential owner, like throw pillows or faux fur blankets thrown over the backs of expensive sofas. They also have things like orange, clothbound blank books for arranging on end tables next to the furniture, as though the showroom is a Real Place with Real Domestic Items left about.
My friend who works at the furniture showroom in the City gave me one of these cheap, orange, clothbound book props. The paper inside the book is terrible. I decided to fill it with quick drawings that began as clueless doodles but ended up as ILLUSTRATIONS FOR UNWRITTEN ESSAYS.
